Dr. Deepak specializes in Veterinary Biotechnology and Reproductive Technologies, boasting 32 years of extensive experience across both government and private sectors. His expertise lies in animal health, pre-clinical safety, and environmental safety assessments.
With a strong background in designing and conducting nonclinical safety assessment studies, Dr. Deepak has evaluated pharmaceuticals (both NCEs and generics), medical devices, nutraceuticals, and agro-industrial chemicals. His comprehensive reports have been submitted to international regulatory agencies, including the US-FDA, EMA Europe, and regulatory bodies in Argentina, China, and Brazil.
Dr. Deepak played a pivotal role in establishing a successful pre-clinical business unit and securing NABL, OECD GLP, and AAALAC international accreditations for esteemed organizations. As a certified internal auditor for ISO 17025:2017, he has also served as a nominated member of CCSEA on various animal ethics committees and as an ad-hoc consultant to AAALAC India. His contributions extend to being a lead speaker and session examiner at numerous national conferences and workshops.
His research interests are diverse, encompassing the development of animal models for human diseases, the establishment of ECVAM and OECD-approved in-vitro alternatives to animal testing methods, and the safety assessment of compounds. Additionally, he is proficient in designing and operating barrier animal facilities for SPF and genetically modified small and large animals.
